Zapraszamy do udziału w konferencji "Galicia and its Multicultural Heritage. International Conference with interdisciplinary approach", organizowanej przez Interdisciplinary Research Foundation (IRF) oraz Instytut Sztuk Audiowizualnych UJ. Konferencja odbędzie się 13 maja 2016 roku w Krakowie, w Instytucie Sztuk Audiowizualnych UJ.
Information about the conference:
The conference
sessions will be devoted to the interdependent cultures, literatures,
languages, religions, ethnic and social groups in the Austrian crownland
Galicia and Lodomeria, as well as the multicultural heritage of Austrian
Galicia in Poland, Ukraine and Austria at the present time.
The conference will
adopt a multidisciplinary approach and will combine different methodological
approaches such as gender studies, migration studies, border studies, memory
studies, oral history, language history, etc.
The conference is
addressed to independent scholars, students and professors of history,
philosophy, sociology, political sciences, literature, linguistics, culture
studies or anthropology.

History: The
impact of historical events at the territory of Austrian Galicia in Poland,
Ukraine and Austria on present time.
II. Art: Theatre,
music, visual art in the Austrian crownland Galicia and Lodomeria.
III.
Women’s Studies: The
analysis of women’s activity in Eastern European Galici.

Sociology: Social
movements in Eastern European Galicia; Social
problems in Eastern European Galicia;
Social
conflicts in Austrian Galicia in Poland, Ukraine and Austria and their
influence on present time.

Politology: Analysis
of political situation in Eastern European Galicia; Galician
lessons for modern politics.

Literature: The
reflection of Galician topic in literature.
VII.
Language: Analysis
of language changes at the territories of Eastern European Galicia.

Culture: Cross-cultural
issues at the territories of Eastern European Galicia.

International Relations: The
impact of relations in Austrian Galicia in Poland, Ukraine and Austria on present
time international cooperation.

Conference
fee: Full
registration fee – 70 €, Student registration fee – 50 €, Students of Jagiellonian University registration fee – 30 € (the
registration fee covers all conference materials, coffee breaks, lunch, Cracow
city tour and post-conference publication).
